Two workshops are associated with our international exhibition
Both have openings but are filling fast.

There are 5 openings as of today:

Rio hails from Portland, Oregon. She's been involved with rusting for the past 14 years.  Her methods are unique and give fast results. She will join Elizabeth Adams-Marks and me at SIUE for an artist talk at the reception of From the Inside Out on Friday, Aug 22.

Eco Prints and Memory Cloth with Fabienne Rey
September 19, 20, and 21, 2014
At a private garden in Madison County, Illinois (about 10 miles from SIUE gallery)
Fee:  $550

This workshop was full, but we've had 3 cancellations recently so are advertising again. You can register for this workshop through Pat Vivod.

Fabienne is from The Netherlands, is a self taught artist who learned eco printing from India Flint. She has developed her work over several years and has taught several workshops. This will be her first time to teach in the US.  Fabienne will give an artist talk at the SIUE gallery on Thursday, September 18, the day before her workshop begins. We would urge anyone coming for the workshop to include the chance to see the exhibition and hear Fabienne at the gallery.

It might be wise to register at SIUE first for Rio's class, then contact Pat for a packet.

Regardless of whether you can join us for one of the workshops you are all cordially invited to see the exhibition.  Visit our blog for the latest news and read profiles on all the artists.  The exhibition is free and open to the public.  Call SIUE for regular gallery hours:  (618) 650-3073.
